Delta 300 site goes to Dean and Dyball
Dean and Dyball Developments has successfully purchased the Delta 300 site from Swindon Borough Council amidst stiff competition. The 3.7 acre roadside site fronts the busy Great Western Way into Swindon from J16 of the M5. To be known as Delta Trade Park, the site will provide up to 70,000 sq ft of employment space.
Gordon Ramsey launches innovative scheme in Swindon
Celebrity chef Gordon Ramsey has chosen Swindon to launch an innovative idea.
The fiery chef has just launched a new website - menusinswindon.com - which allows local restaurants, pubs and takeaways to showcase their menus. From the site’s home page users can search for a specific dish cuisine, or establishment by name and go on to browse entire menus according to their taste.
Landmark stage reached in Locarno’s revival
After years of waiting, the new homes scheme long promised for The Locarno in Old Town, Swindon, is about to be delivered.
Developers Bach Homes have been given planning permission by Swindon Borough Council for a development that will bring 129 homes and a new register office overlooking a piazza, plus a bistro restaurant, coffee shop, and bar.
‘Collaborate to compete’ says leading Beacon businesses
New research has revealed that businesses in the South West are not making the most of the research facilities and expertise available at the region’s universities. The poll by Beacon South West has discovered that whilst two thirds (62 per cent) of companies engage with higher education in some way, their involvement is mainly limited to student work placements and graduate recruitment.
