Hywel Jones from Lucknam Park was awarded the ultimate industry accolade of Hotel Chef of the Year (less than 250 covers) on Tuesday 13 November 2007 at the first ever Hotel Catey Awards.

The Hotel Cateys is the latest event in the hospitality calendar and the hotel industry’s only truly independent benchmark of operational excellence. These awards recognize, reward and celebrate the unsung heroes who work tirelessly to support the hotels UK sector by delivering exceptional guests experience day in and day out.

Since his appointment as head chef at Lucknam Park in 2004 Hywel has raised the standards of the cuisine to a level that has resulted in numerous accolades including a Michelin Star which has helped to position this property as one of the UK’s leading country house hotels.
