Returning by popular demand, three local businesses - Monahans Chartered Accountants, Barclays and Lemon & Co, have joined forces to host the third ‘Open for Business’ event in Swindon on Wednesday 26 March 2008.

The event consists of 15 different, 60 minute workshops, which take place throughout the day; each workshop is presented by representatives of the three host companies and has been tailored to meet the needs of your business – and the whole event is completely free.

The event takes place at the University of Bath, Oakfield Campus, in Swindon, and commences at 12 noon with lunch along with a chance to network with other business people from around the area.

Richard Edwards, marketing director from Monahans commented: “Subjects are very wide ranging, from advice on how businesses can reduce their tax bill to motivating your employees. There is definitely a subject for every business owner or manager - and it’s up to you how many of the workshops you attend – they are all completely free.”

The grand finale of the day will be a presentation from Tim Stevenson, chairman of Travis Perkins plc. Formerly the director of National Express Group, and chief executive of Burmah Castrol plc. He will draw on his experience with these major organisations to discuss some of the issues which any organisation needs to overcome to be successful.

Although the event is free of charge, it is necessary to pre-book the individual workshops you wish to attend, as places are limited and will be allocated upon receipt of a completed booking form.
