Highcross’ Kembrey Business Park in Swindon is enjoying a positive start to 2008, with the announcement of two new lettings.
The UK branch of Canadian company Wardrop Engineering Inc, which provides engineering solutions to the mining, infrastructure and energy sectors around the world, has moved into the ground floor suite at Building 2, Apple Walk. Wardrop has taken the 3,196 sq ft unit on a five-year lease.
Set around a landscaped courtyard, Apple Walk includes four high quality, self-contained, two-storey buildings clad in blue-tinted solar reflective glass. The buildings provide flexible, fully fitted office space, with dedicated parking, 24-hour access and security.
Deborah Fairclough of Wardrop said: “Due to our increasing expansion and projected growth, we needed a property that could accommodate our needs, both in the short and long term. Kembrey Park was our first choice and we are delighted to be taking the company further at the Park.”
Also new to the park is Owlett Jaton, a leading stockist of fasteners, fixings and ironmongery. The company has moved to a 1,300 sq ft suite at Cherry Orchard North, following its decision to relocate its sales office from Swindon town centre.
Spokesman Tony Williams said: “The time was right for us to move and various factors contributed to the decision to choose Kembrey Park.”
Nick Turner of Highcross commented: “Kembrey Park has had a strong start to 2008, with a range of further lettings in the pipeline, in addition to the recent arrival of Wardrop Engineering and Owlett Jaton at the park. We are delighted that these two companies have chosen Kembrey as the best location for their future growth.”
Joint agents for Kembrey Park are King Sturge and Loveday & Loveday. Michael Doran of King Sturge added: “Last year, Kembrey Park had one of the highest levels of take-up within Swindon’s business locations. Much of its success is due to the range of accommodation, from a one-person office to premises for an international headquarters.”
