Leading Swindon manufacturer sold to global group

Swindon Silicon Systems, the UK’s largest independent ASIC design and supply  company has been sold to Tomkins plc, a global engineering and manufacturing  group, for an undisclosed amount.

SSSL is an innovative fabless semiconductor company that designs, develops and supplies highly integrated performance driven custom mixed signal integrated circuits for the automotive, industrial, consumer, military and communications markets.

Peter Lugg of Monahans Corporate Finance was lead advisor to the shareholders.  John Davies of Thring Townsend Lee & Pembertons was principal legal advisor.
