A shortage of new Grade A office space is predicted for Swindon next year, and a new development is aimed at partially filling that gap.

Acting on behalf of Leehampton Developments, King Sturge has annlounced that work on the new Richmond House office building at Edison Park is moving forward.

Just a few weeks after the first shovel went in to the ground the steel framework is already starting to take shape on what is planned to be another quality product at the park offering 24,000 ft2 of Grade A office accommodation in a well established business location.

Richmond House will be available to lease or purchase and appeal to a single occupier or alternatively it has the ability to split in order to provide self contained office accommodation from 3,000-12,000 ft2. Jim Scott, Managing Director of Leehampton Developments commented “We are eagerly awaiting the completion of Richmond House and strongly believe that due to the building’s flexibility and Edison Park’s excellent transport links this new accommodation will be a success.”

Jeremy Sutton, Partner at King Sturge added “It is no secret that there will be a shortage of new Grade A office space in Swindon next year and therefore we anticipate the completion of Richmond House in Spring 2008 will be well timed.  Along with our joint agents Whitmarsh Lockhart we are already receiving early interest”
