The new year has started well for law firm, Thring Townsend, with a resounding acknowledgement from the legal press.
The latest publication of leading legal magazine, “The Lawyer,” included the stand-alone supplement, The Hot 100, which named managing partner, Thomas Sheppard, as one of the outstanding managers.
Matt Byrne, assistant editor of “The Lawyer,’ said: “ The Hot 100 is a recognition and a celebration of the very best people in the law. The mix is eclectic - we have looked at corporate lawyers, in-house counsel, assistants, the bar, finance, real estate and management - and our objective has been to identify those who have noticeably enhanced the reputation of their law firms.”
The Hot 100 supplement describes Thring Townsend as a “hidden gem” saying also, “there are many firms in The Lawyer Rising 50 looking for aggressive growth, but none more so than South West’s Thring Townsend. And in managing partner Thomas Sheppard the firm has a suitably ambitious leader.”
Thomas Sheppard said: “ This acknowledgement from The Lawyer is a great start to the New Year and it is, of course, recognition of the success of the whole firm. The work we’ve all put in towards creating a culture that’s different from other law firms has paid off and is starting to reach the ears of the legal press as well as other firms.”
As Matt Byrne says in his introduction to the Hot 100, “ Many of the names you will already know and we guarantee that, if there are any that you haven’t heard of, you soon will.”
