Gold PRide Award for Blue Click PR

Blue Click PR, which is based at Brinkworth, has won the coveted Gold Award for the Chartered Institute of Public Relation's PRide awards 2006/2007 for “Small Team/Sole Practitioner of the Year, West of England.”

The awards were held on 2 February at the Thistle Hotel, Bristol and Blue Click PR’s entry was entitled “Building clients’ brands by association with their blue chip clients.”

The judges decided not to give bronze or silver awards this year because according to TV Presenter Susan Osman: “There was just one, truly outstanding team this year that the judges felt was head and shoulders above the rest in its category. With a range of great work, Blue Click PR is the only finalist and winner.”

With 1,292 entries across 11 regions, this represents a 25 per cent increase on last year. The highest number of entries was from the West and Lis Anderson, Chair of CIPR West of England said: “The PRide Awards are about raising professional standards by identifying, recognising and rewarding the first-rate work going on in the PR industry outside London and the contribution this makes to business and society. The judging process is rigorous and to win is a tremendous achievement.”

Blue Click PR's managing director, Rhona Jack, said: “We decided to enter because our clients regularly win when we write their award entries. Last year, we helped our client Wincor Nixdorf win two Global Awards and one Highly Commended for the Banker's Technology Awards.
