Thinking about parting company with your Business?

Barclays & Monahans Corporate Finance have some FREE Advice

Barclays and Monahans Corporate Finance Team are joining together to offer business owners some sound advice during a FREE seminar on Thursday 7th June 2007 at the Marriott Hotel, Pipers Way, Swindon.

Peter Lugg, Specialist Partner in Monahans Corporate Finance Team, and Sinead Waters of Barclays will lead the delegates through the processes of Succession Planning and give advice that will prove invaluable when you actually come to move on from your business.

The seminar will begin at 5.30pm and close at 6.30pm, with a chance to meet and network with other business owners and professionals from Barclays and Monahans after the main presentations, over a light buffet.

Peter had these comments “Business owners need to start planning very early on for when they will leave their business. I know it sounds crazy, but how the business performs, almost from day one, has a huge part to play when the time comes to pass it on, whether that is to family, as a management buy-out or a trade sale. To make sure you maximise your returns, you must start thinking about succession planning today.”

Ian O’Connor, now Managing Director of Superior Creative, will also share some of his experiences from leading a successful Management Buy-Out team. The MBO Team led by Ian purchased this major creative design and printing company in 2005.

This seminar is a must for anyone who owns their own business, as one day it will be time to move on.  It will cover

  • Why planning years in advance is vitally important
  • The options that will be available to you
  • How to transform your returns
  • Available finance options
  • Ensuring the business ends up in the right hands
  • The sales process – and making sure it goes smoothly
